About Community Outreach

COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM

For more than a decade, the Foundation has consistently expanded its support for community arts and culture through our Community Outreach program, with a strong focus on youth and underserved populations.

Today, we are the largest funder of arts and culture in the region. Each year, our initiatives directly and indirectly impact more than 1,000 local children and teens, providing them with meaningful opportunities to engage with and benefit from artistic and cultural experiences.

Students from Georgian Bay Community School, Beaver Valley Community School, Admiral Collingwood Elementary School, as well as those in homeschooling and First Nations communities, have all taken part in our programs—ensuring that creativity and cultural enrichment are accessible to all.

  • Covid-19 funding:
    • help low-income families afford to replicate classroom setting
    • musician performance fees
    • virtual recreation and art camps for ages 5-12
    • musical instruments for developmental-delayed students
  • Georgian Bay Community School:  music programs & lessons, GBCS Idol, GBCS Francophone Festival
  • Pursuits Film Festival fundraiser for students’ outdoor leadership learning, a 4-credit curriculum program
  • Professional Indigenous live theatre performances at Meaford Hall
