This past spring and summer the Foundation was able to provide 11 Bursaries thanks to the generous donations we received.
Boys and girls were able to express themselves under the tutelage of professional instructors. For some of these students it was a first time experience. Easing the financial burden of extra curricular activities means more students can explore what the arts have to offer. Dean Hollin Musical Theatre Camp had 5 students and Sandcastle Theatre had 6 students. We are so fortunate to have these two groups offer such high caliber programming here in Meaford. Learning about production, costumes and choreography helps round out the program.
“Thank-you for giving me the opportunity to go to Dean Hollin’s camp. I had a great time. Singing, dancing and acting and showing the performance. Thank you!” Khloe age 11
“Thank you so much for this awesome gift” Sawyer age 9
“I want to go to theatre camp so that I can get comfortable speaking in front of others and to help boost my self confidence. Theatre would allow me to express myself in ways I usually don’t” Hannah age 11
“Thank you to Meaford Culture Foundation, seeing Olivia (age 9 1/2) grow her skills in the arts helps her in all aspects of her life” As well, Olivia earned her Kiwanis Certificate.
