Niigaanibaatowad: Front Runners Event – April 14th 2019

Dear Joanne,

On behalf of the Meaford Truth & Reconciliation group, I want to express our sincere appreciation for the very generous support provided by the Foundation. Without your help, we could not have held this event at Meaford Hall. To host this event at the premier cultural venue in the region added significantly to the interest and attention shown by sponsors and attendees alike, and it demonstrated that the community recognized the importance of reaching out to the Indigenous communities in a spirit of friendship and reconciliation.

With over 200 in attendance at the Hall on one of the nastiest spring days in recent memory, it must be considered a resounding success, and the strong attendance from the Indigenous communities and their leaders was very special. With your support, we were able to make a significant contribution to Indigenous Cultural and Wellness programs through the donations received at the Hall.

I know that our community is now recognized as a friend to the Indigenous peoples in the area.

Chi Miigwech!

Thanks again, Thomas Dean
