The Foundation was able to provide 10 full bursaries for children in 2016.

Introducing children to singing and acting in a peer setting helps them deal with all aspects of life. Having fun is also important – kids need to have fun. Educating while having fun is a priceless experience. Brother and sisters were able to attend camps together and some with serious medical conditions were able to focus on something else. The general overwhelming response from these kids is “thank you so much, I loved everything, I want to be an actor” the parents tell us they come home singing and excited to practise.

The Foundation provided bursaries for two of the children from the Syrian family in Meaford, they attended a 2 week musical theatre camp. For any child being accepted by your peers is very important, when you’re new to a country even more so. The kids loved the singing, dancing and making props. Coming home they continued to practise the songs they learned. Their english improved and new friends were made, this was an experience they’ll never forget.
